PayMaya

PayMaya

2021

I enhanced the discoverability of features and the UX of the app.

The steps in this process:

1. Workshops
2. Wireframing
3. Visual design
4. Testing
5. Design system

1. Workshops
PayMaya is an Pilipino e-wallet, serving both customers and businesses with the ability to pay and receive money. Their app is not user-friendly and they are keen for improvement.

To understand the target audience and to create alignment between stakeholders and our team, workshops were held about:

1. Customer audiences
2. Their desires, pains and gains
3. User flow creation
4. Sketching and ideating new concepts
5. Atomic Design components

2. Wireframing

My colleague and I transformed the concepts created by the stakeholders into wireframes. These were iterated upon over the next 3 weeks based on client feedback.

3. User flow creation

I created and iterated over several visual designs based on wishes of the target audience, external factors like the industry and environment, client wishes, and by taken into consideration business constraints.

4. Sketching and ideating new concepts

We executed lean UX testing with 5 participants. We took them through 3 concepts and A/B tested several visual designs.

5. Design system

One of the challenges for the client is consistency. I created a new atomic design system based on the redesign which can easily be expanded upon. It has clear instructions how and when to use which components.
